Emerald Centre facilities
The Emerald Centre is an independent registered charity based in East Leicester. We work with local partners to deliver practical support, community activities and inclusive opportunities that help people build confidence, improve wellbeing and stay connected.
Our work spans all age groups, from activities for children and young people to training for adults and social and wellbeing support for older and vulnerable residents.
Our facilities include a function hall, meeting and training spaces, an award-winning community garden, an Irish Library and three football pitches, including Leicester’s only Gaelic football pitch.
Need a venue in Leicester? We offer facility hire for community groups, training providers, sports teams and private events, subject to availability.
Main Room
Our main room, along with the meeting room, are available for a variety of events and functions. Rates start at £30 per hour. To book or inquire further, please contact Mary at 0116 2769186 or via email at emeraldcentre@yahoo.co.uk A £120 deposit is required to secure your event date.
Sports Pitches
The Centre features three sports pitches and is home to eight football and Gaelic teams. Changing rooms and showers are available. Please contact us for booking details.
Community Garden
Our community garden, developed and maintained by dedicated volunteers, offers a welcoming space for relaxation or participation in gardening activities. Gardening is known to help reduce anxiety, and we welcome volunteers of all commitment levels. Whether you want to get involved or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings, the garden is here for you.
Irish Studies Library
The on-site Irish Studies Library, managed by the Irish Studies Workshop Group, provides valuable resources for research and education. It is an excellent resource for university students and school children exploring Irish heritage.
